Attachment Types, their Behaviours and Strategies for Coping – Part 2
Part 2 of our series of workshops on Attachment, will look at endings and loss in attachment and ways of working with both children and adults.
This workshop is designed as a Part 2 to build on the learning which took place in the Attachment Part 1 workshop in February 2017. Ideally participants should have attended the Part 1 training.
The workshop will begin with a recap of Attachment Theory, and will be followed by an exploration into endings and loss in attachment. We will look at how we use a secure base with clients to enable the different attachment types to reduce and/or regulate challenging behaviours, which can cause instability in their lives.
We will look at other more recently identified attachment disorders, the ‘dis-inhibited’ and ‘inhibited’, more commonly known as RAD (Reactive Attachment Disorder). We will investigate the diagnostic criteria and how these children present as well as exploring the best ways of working with clients with this attachment type.
We will also spend time, looking at the effect and impact of attachment disorders on adults and how best to work with this client group.
This workshop is facilitated by Caroleanne Hudson and provides 6 hours of CPD.
Please note, our training room is on the first floor and is accessed by stairs. If you have any special requirements, or if you need to advise us of anything before booking or attending the training, then please contact us.
