Sue is a BACP accredited counsellor with over ten years’ therapeutic experience working in both her private practice based at Jesmond Therapy Centre and also with Northumbria Police as both therapist, trauma lead and trainer. Sue originally trained as a person-centred counsellor and now works in an integrative manner using a mix of therapeutic approaches to suit the individual and unique needs of the client she is working with.
Over the past eight years Sue has gained vast experience working as Senior Occupational Health Counsellor, Force Wellbeing Manager and Trauma Risk Management Co-ordinator for Northumbria Police. In addition Sue is also qualified and experienced as a Clinical Supervisor; Bereavement Counsellor; NLP Master Practitioner; Solution Focused Therapist, Clinical Hypnotherapist; Mediator, Advanced Trauma Risk Management Practitioner and Trainer. Prior to working for Northumbria Police Sue worked for many years as a parenting specialist within the Youth Offending Service where her work received National recognition. Sue is also a published author. Sue has a real passion for trauma and bereavement work which is apparent in her training delivery style.
