Sue Mayfield is an Accredited BACP Psychodynamic Counsellor, Registrant of BPC, writer and experienced writing-facilitator. She is the author of ten novels for young adults several of which (On Eagles’ Wings, Blue, Reckless, Damage) explore themes of disruption and loss, and a number of non-fiction titles including First Steps Through Bereavement (Lion 2011). Her private practice offers talking and writing therapy and writing-for-wellbeing for individuals and groups. Sue has recently moved to the North East from Gloucestershire where she worked extensively as a counsellor, trainer and writing-in-health practitioner. She facilitated expressive writing at Maggie’s Cheltenham and has been Writer in Residence in a number of hospital, schools and GP surgeries in the South West.
