Liz is an accredited and qualified counsellor registered with the BACP (British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy) who works with adult individuals and couples
Liz offers a private space and time, to clients who are struggling but have no-one to talk to or who understands. Her hope is to create a safe place in which you can feel accepted, not judged, free to explore whatever you are finding difficult and make sense of your thoughts and feelings.
She believes that having counselling can make a huge difference to your life. Everyone experiences problems in their lives and we all have times when we feel unable to cope and very alone. Sometimes too many difficult things happen at once and we can’t see a way out of confusion and pain. Counselling can really help at times like this. It is a way of helping you work out how to improve your life or cope better.
Liz is a person-centred counsellor and believes that you, the client(s), are of central importance. If provided with the right kind of support you can change and reach your potential. In a way it is like offering a relationship through pain, so you can feel accompanied, understood, prized and eventually more able to accept yourself.
Liz feels the hardest thing is always to take the first step but it may be the best thing you could do! Liz works with a wide variety of clients and issue such as:
Addiction
Anxiety
Bereavement
Chronic Fatigue Syndrome/ ME
Depression
Emotional Abuse
Feeling sad
Generalised Anxiety Disorder
High Sensitivity
Loneliness
Low self-confidence
Low self- esteem
Physical health conditions impacting on mental health(eg chronic pain, fibromyalgia, respiratory conditions)

In her couples therapy practice, Liz believes relationship difficulties lie at the heart of many people’s pain. Liz supports both individuals and couples to gain clarity about their issues and offer tools to help work through and improve them. Liz believes there is always hope and with work and if desired, the partnership can become a container for joy.
