She is an accredited professional member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and the BACP for Children and Young People and a qualified EMDR Practitioner.
Lillian is a very experienced practitioner who works with adults, young people, families, and couples. Her dedication to lifelong learning and training has enabled her to offer a rich and comprehensive range of skills and therapeutic approaches. Lillian provides integrative psychotherapy which encompasses humanistic, psychodynamic, and cognitive-behavioural therapeutic approaches. As an EMDR trauma therapist Lillian is also passionate about helping people move forward with their lives following distressing life events and situations. She has 15 years’ experience providing EMDR for issues such as post-traumatic stress disorders, childhood trauma, physical/ sexual abuse, anxiety, bereavement, and road traffic accidents.
Lillian uses her integrative therapeutic skills to help individuals better cope with life’s problems through an understanding of how our past can shape our present. She has many years of experience working with a variety of issues such as depression, anxiety, bereavement, anger, attachment, and relationship problems.
Using a compassionate and empathic style enables Lillian to meet the needs of sensitive clients of all ages who respond well to a gentler approach. Her therapeutic style also encompasses a Transpersonal and Spiritual way of working which some clients may prefer. This helps to meet and support the needs of each client’s own belief system to develop a greater understanding of their self.
