Holly is an Integrative Psychotherapist and Counsellor and a member of the BACP and an accredited member of the UKCP. Holly is also an EMDR Therapist working with adults.
Holly has worked in a G.P surgery, the charity and private sector for a number of years working with both short and long term with clients. Holly’s work is centred on helping clients find a way forward due to wide range of various issues such as depression, anxiety and trauma.
Holly has a keen interest in working with those with eating disorders and eating distress. She works with clients to explore the underlying causes of their eating distress and to help the client gain an understanding of why they use food to cope with difficult emotions.
She believes in putting human needs and values at the heart of therapy. Working with an integrative approach with Transactional Analysis (T.A) as her main theoretical framework, drawing upon other theories such as: attachment and child developmental theories to help the client make sense of what is going on inside. This integrative approach enables her to tailor therapy to suit the client and their needs.
Holly also has experience of working with those who have been through traumatic life events, whether this be single or multiple events in childhood or adulthood. She is trained in EMDR therapy an evidence based method which enables clients to process the thoughts and feelings and sensations linked to trauma.
