Ellie is Psychotherapist and Counsellor who works with children, young people and adults. She is a registered member of the BACP, (British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists).
Ellie is a warm and thoughtful Psychotherapist and Counsellor (MA, MBACP). She offers a compassionate, emotionally attuned space where clients can feel able to bring the parts of themselves that may feel difficult, overwhelming, confusing or long-held — at a pace that feels safe and manageable.
Master’s trained in Psychotherapy and Counselling, Ellie works integratively, drawing from psychodynamic, relational, attachment-informed, Jungian and Gestalt approaches. Her work is informed by an understanding of how earlier experiences, relationships and unconscious patterns can shape emotional life. At the same time, therapy is not about staying in the past for the sake of it; Ellie works collaboratively with clients to gently explore recurring patterns, protective strategies, relationships, identity and emotional experiences, while also attending to what is happening in the here-and-now. She believes therapy can offer not only relief from distress, but a deeper understanding of ourselves and the ways we relate to others.
Ellie has experience supporting children, young people and adults across therapeutic, residential, educational and charitable settings, including care-experienced young people presenting with complex developmental trauma and relational difficulties. She has particular experience supporting those affected by trauma and loss, including sexual abuse, grief and bereavement, attachment difficulties, neurodiversity, anxiety, emotional overwhelm, identity difficulties, suicidal thoughts, and pregnancy and baby loss. She recognises that grief and trauma are often carried quietly – sometimes feeling invisible, misunderstood or difficult to put into words.
Children & Young People
When working with children and young people, Ellie understands that feelings are not always expressed through words. Distress may instead show up in behaviour, relationships, emotional outbursts, withdrawal or anxiety. She works relationally and creatively, adapting therapy to the developmental needs of each young person and drawing upon play, metaphor, storytelling, sensory approaches and creative exploration where helpful. Ellie has experience supporting care-experienced young people, attachment and developmental trauma, abuse, grief and loss, emotional regulation difficulties and neurodiversity.
Ellie particularly values working with teenagers, students and young adults, recognising the unique pressures that can accompany identity, relationships, education, family dynamics, self-esteem, anxiety and life transitions. She aims to create a therapeutic relationship that feels genuine, accepting and free from judgement — somewhere clients can begin to make sense of themselves with greater clarity and self-compassion.
Adults
Ellie works with adults experiencing a range of emotional and relational difficulties, including trauma, bereavement, pregnancy and baby loss, anxiety, abuse, low self-worth, relationship difficulties and experiences that feel difficult to make sense of. She recognises that many people arrive in therapy carrying things they have coped with alone for a long time and believes meaningful therapeutic work begins with feeling met, understood and not rushed.
Clients often describe Ellie as warm, calming and easy to talk to, while also bringing depth, curiosity and thoughtful challenge to the therapeutic process. Her approach is collaborative, compassionate and tailored to the individual — recognising that no two people, or stories, are ever the same.
Whether someone arrives in therapy feeling overwhelmed, grieving, anxious, stuck or simply unsure why things feel difficult, Ellie aims to offer a therapeutic relationship where clients feel genuinely met — a space to think, feel, process and begin making sense of themselves in new ways.
