Deborah has worked in mental health for 18 years in a variety of settings including primary schools, secondary schools, drug and alcohol treatment and psychological services.

Deborah applies only evidence-based practice. Her postgraduate training specialised in four main areas; Depression, Anxiety/panic, OCD and schizophrenia. Having the experience of working with these challenges, and more, truly allows her to specify treatment to each client’s unique needs. Deborah believes that therapy is not a one-size fits all, and it is her role to personalise and tailor to each client which is why she will complete a thorough intake questionnaire with you.

As a mental health practitioner, Deborah draws on an integrative approach using different modalities to support you, including thought analysis, Mindfulness, draw and talk therapy and CBT. The aim of which is to understand you as a person and take you on a journey to heal challenges you are facing. Looking at how you got here, what is keeping you here and how you can move forward.

Deborah will help you look at negative cycles, patterns, negative ruminative thinking and use proven psychological techniques to help you overcome self-beliefs and live the life right for you.

Deborah has worked within a school setting for over 6 years, helping a multitude of clients manage their emotional wellbeing and successfully working with students and adult clients with a range of psychological distress including panic, anxiety, depression, self-harm and eating disorders, primarily using a cognitive behavioural therapy approach and mindfulness. She has worked with children in primary schools, secondary schools and adults.

Deborah specialises in Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, phobia, depression and anxiety disorders, motivating change.  Change is challenging, and she will work with you empathically to review your goals and progress. Deborah also has experience working with drug and alcohol addictions.

Deborah offers a comfortable and accepting space for those experiencing difficulties where they can work together to explore issues and support you through your challenges. She likes to work in a holistic manner offering mindfulness sessions and holistic approaches.

She always feels privileged to listen to people’s life experiences and support them to learn coping skills, challenge beliefs and overcome mental health issues. Her style is collaborative and informed by you, matching your needs.
