David is a Counsellor & Psychotherapist and a registered member of the BACP, who works with adults
David brings a wide range of experience and knowledge to his practice, most importantly a commitment to working with you as an individual in a safe, non-judgmental environment.
David’s early interests were in the relationships between psychology and philosophy, which he studied at university. Later David worked on policy for charities and for a local authority. He became interested in communities and their inter-relationships and completed a PhD on communities and complexity theory.
David has experienced his own life challenge, a stroke at the age of 42, when he received some superb counselling. This re-ignited his interest in psychology and so he decided to spend the second part of his career working as a psychotherapist.
David will support you as you deal with your personal concerns; family and relationship issues; health problems; stress and anxiety; or milestones, such as becoming a parent, children leaving home, retirement or bereavement.
