Counsellor, Psychotherapist and EMDR Therapist - Adults
Peter is an accredited psychotherapist, an EMDR therapist and a member of the UKCP.
His clinical background is psychodynamic psychotherapy, looking at our early experiences to understand current life situations, relationships and behaviour. He believes that our personal and professional lives can be affected by the same issues that may be holding us back or stopping us from being ourselves and achieving our full potential as individuals or within the workplace.
He views our emotional and physical health as co-dependant and both equally important. Understanding and nurturing our emotional health can improve our overall wellbeing and lead to more satisfying and rewarding lives and relationships.
Peter worked in NHS primary care before private practice. As an integrative psychotherapist he draws on several psychotherapeutic approaches including Transactional Analysis, attachment theory, creative methods and Gestalt; and, he has a particular interest in EMDR and the relationship between brain, body and mind. Peter will offer a secure, supportive, and confidential space where you can talk freely without judgement.
He is also an executive coach accredited with EMCC and a member of the BACP coaching division.
