Denise is an Integrative Psychotherapist, Counsellor and EMDR trained. She is a Registered Member of the BACP, UKCP and IPTUK and is currently in private practice at Jesmond Therapy Centre.

Denise has worked throughout North East within private practice as a counsellor, and in the last 7 years has also worked within an NHS setting.  During this time she continued her studies to obtain Accreditation in Interpersonal Psychotherapy and supervisor status, and (EMDR) Eye Movement Desensitisation Process for trauma.

Denise is an experienced and honest therapist, offering a confidential, respectful and warm environment.   She believes in empowering clients to help facilitate the change they seek.   Always non-judgemental, she seeks to understand her clients at a deeper level providing security and a safe space to explore their difficulties. Her clinical practice is based on integrity, communicating on an equal level, whilst acknowledging a person’s right to benefit from professional knowledge and competence of a high standard.

Denise regularly advances her knowledge by attending workshops and webinars on early attachment, childhood trauma, personality disorders, sexual functioning in relationship and narcissistic abuse to name a few.
