Your Wellbeing at Jesmond Therapy Centre

Although all social distancing restrictions relating to the Covid-19 Pandemic have been removed, we at Jesmond Therapy Centre are always mindful of the health and wellbeing of our clients, visitors and therapists.  Wellness is paramount to us and your safety remains a high priority.

We have therefore retained some of the measures we implemented during the pandemic to ensure that our centre remains safe and healthy, to reduce the risk of future transmission of infection

Any clients, visitors and therapists are requested to follow the guidelines below:

  1. If you develop any covid-like symptoms, we request that you do not visit the centre. If you are a new client and have an appointment arranged for your first therapy session, then please contact us and we will cancel your appointment and rearrange it for you when you are symptom free.   For all future sessions after your first appointment, your therapist’s cancellation policy will be discussed/given to you at your first therapy session.
  2.  Please do not attend the Centre more than five minutes prior to your appointment time, but please attend on time as your appointment will not run over time as the time between clients is specifically designated for cleaning and to provide time between you leaving and the next client arriving.
  3. Please attend your appointment alone, unless you are attending for Couple or Family therapy or you need a chaperone. Where this is not possible due to travel to and from the Centre then please ask whoever is attending with you to wait in the car or outside the Centre (there are shops, cafes and a library located nearby)
  4. We will be unable to provide you with refreshments, but you are welcome to bring your own hot or cold drinks with you.
  5. Hand sanitiser is provided in the reception area and therapy rooms for your use.
  6. You are welcome to wear a face mask at any time, but we are unable to supply a face mask for you.

Within the Centre:

  1. Reception staff remain protected by a Perspex barrier allowing them to interact with clients whilst maintaining a degree of infection control
  2. Our Centre is thoroughly cleaned by our professional cleaning contractors
  3. We ventilate the rooms regularly by opening the windows.
  4. Our staff regularly sanitise the therapy rooms and communal areas and surfaces including door handles. Sanitiser spray and wipes are available in all therapy rooms.

If you have any questions prior to your appointment or have any queries in relation to this policy, please do not hesitate to contact us on 0191 281 2167.
