Working with Dissociation
Develop a greater understanding of Dissociation enabling you to work with clients who may present with this disorder.

In this workshop we will be look at the following:
- What is dissociation?
- The different types and categories of a dissociate disorder
- The effects of a dissociation
- The possible causes of a dissociative disorder?
- How to recognise and measure dissociation in a client.
- We will also look at ways of working with a client who presents with dissociation
By the end of the workshop you will have a greater understanding of Dissociation and be able to apply the various skills and techniques that have been demonstrated throughout the day with clients who may present with this disorder.
The workshop will be interactive and will be facilitated by Val Adlparvar and Ericka Johanson.
A BACP accredited counsellor, supervisor and trainer, Ericka has been a therapist working for a number of years in addictions and has considerable experience of working with anger management. She is currently working in the NHS in the Primary Care Mental Health team as a Locality Coordinator leading a team of therapists and carries a case load working with a diverse client group. She is an EMDR accredited Europe Consultant and practitioner as well as a qualified CBT Therapist.
Ericka has a Master’s degree in Counselling from Durham University, Pg Dip in CBT from Newcastle University and a Post Graduate Certificate in Education
