EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) also known as “tapping” is a set of techniques that incorporate the principles of acupressure and positive psychology to treat and alleviate physical and emotional ailments. It works on the principle that is used in Chinese medicine that the body has energy channels or meridians and disruption in the energy flow contributes to physical and emotional ailments including negative emotions.
Anxiety is very common and is experienced by many people, often exacerbated by our modern lifestyle. It can present in many forms including generalised anxiety, OCD, performance anxiety (e.g. exams, interviews), phobias (e.g fear of flying, fear of needles, fear of spiders) and post traumatic stress.
EFT is one of many effective treatments for anxiety but is less well known about. This workshop will highlight how EFT can be used to manage and cure anxiety either alone or in conjunction with other therapies.
This workshop will focus on;
- What is EFT, including theory and principles.
- How to do basic EFT.
- Overview of anxiety and its various presentations.
- Why anxiety can be difficult to treat.
- Why EFT works so well in treating anxiety.

This workshop will be interactive and practical.
