Having qualified with a Business Degree and a Masters in Human Resource Management, the main part of my career has been in Human Resource project management for a national housing association. More recently I have been involved in designing and delivering Learning and Development solutions for the organisation.
Whilst on maternity leave, I decided to set up ‘The Baby Hub’ offering parents / carers the opportunity to spend quality time with their little ones through relaxation, movement and play. I offer baby massage and M+Ms (movement, music and sensory) classes for babies up to a year.
I work at both businesses on a part time basis. In addition, I also work providing administration support at Jesmond Therapy Centre.
I joined Jesmond Therapy Centre when it opened in September 2009 and was responsible for supporting the office set up, marketing and recruitment of staff. I was involved in administrative duties such as writing and managing therapist and staff policies and procedures, producing a variety of marketing material and researching and contacting a number of leads for potential business.
At present, I work part time and I am responsible for supporting the invoicing process, general administrative duties and regularly attending events to promote the Centre.
I really enjoy working at Jesmond Therapy Centre – it is a welcoming and relaxing place, which offers a great work environment. I work with a fantastic set of talented people who offer a caring service aimed at supporting the well-being of our community.
